I'm experiencing breakthrough bleeding. if i push my new pack ahead to get a regular period, will it stop?

I read somewhere that once the next pack of pills is started, the breakthrough bleeding will stop after my regular period. If this is so, I wanna start my non-active pills right away to get my period. should i do this?
