Is Carmax charging too much for their cars?

Hi. I've been trying to deal with Carmax here in Wichita ks. The car I'm after is overpriced by at least 1k. I've searched Edmunds, Kelly, and Nada, everyone says it's overpriced, and that's even going with "high" retail pricing. My question is... does Carmax deal, or not? I suspect the will, but does anyone have experience with them. If they won't deal, I don't want to waste my time playing games. I need a car, not a headache.
