Awe man, I'm 15 too, and I've been put in the same situation. I wanted to go to the movies with my friends, but as soon as I found out what movie we were seeing I was terrified because it was some thriller/slasher flick. Instead of seeing that movie with them, I actually found another friend who admitted they were scared of scary movies too, so her and I ended up watching a comedy movie at the same theatre as our other friends while went to watch a scary movie. After both our movies were over, we met up in the theatre lobby with everyone and all of us went to my friends house. It was nice, because I still got to spend time with everyone, but also got to avoid seeing a creepy movie I really did not want to see. My advice is to only go to the movie if it's really that important to you to be with your friends. If you don't think you can handle it, do what I did. Good luck =)

Why does my father prefer my brother?

Confused about my 401-k?

When I was about 17 years old I noticed my leaking a whitish substance, I told my mom and she took me to the doctor,who recommended me to an endocrinologist. the endo ran all sorts of tests..even had a head scan..mri..everything,their conclusion was that I had a tumor on my pituitary gland that was so small it wasnt noticeable in the scan and was told to come back months later to see if there was a change..i was prescribed dostinex to stop the leaking which worked.. sadly my stepdad took me off his insurance so I was pretty much ******. I couldnt afford the medication for it was 350 dollars for every 8 pills.. i had to take 2ice a week. I nvr went back to the doctor because I couldnt afford it and never worked at a job long enough to get insurance so I dont know whats going on. I am now 22 years old and still with the leaking..do you think there could be anything really bad going on ? :o/ I need some advice. thank you.

Golden Corral or any all you can eat buffets are just nasty. First of all if you watch people will be serving themselves and will sneeze or cough and cover their mouth and then use that hand to use the spoon to get food, then there is the people that cough or sneeze and don't cover there mouth and spray all the foods. Then there is kids going and getting food and putting it back, touching it with their hands and putting it back, the employees go and clean up the spilled food and put it back in the dish. Nasty! No I didn't eat there, i did go with a group and only got a gl of Tea and had the manager take it back because my gl has lipstick on it. I watch all the things people do while going thru the line.

Heya folks. Im just turned 23 yesterday. For a long time I've wanted a dog,and seeing as it was my birthday yesterday I decided to go out to a local dog shelter and paid a hundred quid for a male black labrador pup (he's got a bit of collie in him too). I live with my uncle (and so does our fourteen year old female cat). Now I knew that if I got the pup,my uncle would say no. So I hinted and hinted what I was up to to him for a few days,knowing that he is not stupid and that he would suspect me arriving with a puppy any time. Sure enough,I came home with 'ziggy' (the pup) today. My uncle was not pleased at all. He's barely speaking to me atm. The pup is currently nestled up beside me sleeping. My son has recently started doing this thing where he arches his back and tries to buck out of EVERYTHING... when I'm holding him now he just arches his back and kicks me HARD with his feet and even when he's on the floor rolling around he'll roll onto his back and do like a back bend and arch his back really far... it's getting to be a problem. He is constantly doing it and last night I was feeding him in a bouncer (i know he's too big for it but it's all I had at my mom's house to put him in to eat) and as I was getting more food on the spoon he arched his back and sort of twisted and tipped the entire bouncer over! Thank GOD I had fast enough reflexes to catch him before he fell on the floor but why is he doing this? Is this just a phase that babies go through? My husband and I have both had SEVERAL close calls with almost dropping him while holding him because he just really fights it and squirms hard and arches his back and tries to buck out and he'll throw himself completely backwards to the point where I"m scared he's just going to flop right out of my arms!

I am a devout christian, and have been since birth. I attend church 2 times a week and I am one of the student leaders of my church's youth group. Last night I went to a party with a friend from my high school. At our school, most of the guys and girls are not religious at all and party every weekend. Now this was my first ever party and I refused to drink alcohol. So my friend insisted I smoke some "weed" with him. I have a fender strat with a 9 digit SN 051520648. I have looked on every website and at every listed scheme of Fender SN's and I cant find any mention of a 9 digit SN. It looks authentic, Its on the back of the headstock. There is also the "original contour body" logo on front AND back near the SN. Can someone help? Im at a total loss. It is a 3 tone sunburst (not sunburst on the back... the back is solid black). It has the small headstock. Im guessing its 80s or 90s but i cant match the SN with any known scheme. Help please.

I feel so depressed and i want someone to talk to?

I have been trying to understand depression and I am beginning to think it has little to do with what is happening in your life but how your body is working and your brain. When I was depressed for a long time my husband would say "be careful" when I left the house. Be careful meant "it is very dangerous outside" "if you go out you may not live" "there are many dangerous things outside you may not be safe", but when I am not depressed he says "be careful" and I say OK, bye, and think nothing more of it. Sometimes depression is just not having an interest in life, sometimes it is just sleeping and feeling good while you do, sometimes it is sadness, and sometimes you do feel like cutting yourself. The best thing you can do is watch the process, maybe make notes on how you feel and why, and just be the watcher watching yourself watch yourself, as long as you remain detached you don't have to go into the valley of depression but can stay on the mountaintops. I know that is a lot to think about...I got over my depression by getting the amino acid Tryptophan, which helps your body make seratonin, which is a hormone makes you feel good. For some reason some people can't seem to digest this amino acid from food. But you can try theres a lot of it in turkey. You can look it up on the internet and read about it. A lot of people just use St John's Wort, in Europe it is almost all they use. It is an herb and you can buy it at the health food store. It is not your fault you are depressed, but if you can watch yourself, and detach yourself from the depression like watch it but don't get involved in it...and writing a diary or just typing on notepad how you feel, you can always delete it afterward, is as helpful or more helpful than talking to someone. You are pro not going to talk yourself out of being depressed, but going outside and walking is very very good. I also found out with the Tryptophan, which is part of a protien your body cannot make except from food that this 5HTP is important, the Tryptophan turns into 5HTP and then your body makes seratonin. One capsule of 5HTP and my depression is magically gone for 5 days now....I have most of my first memories starting when I was 13, and I was just starting to be smart a little, 13 year olds these days are much smarter than I was, so I don't know if you can understand this, I hope so, when I was 13 I wanted to run away, I was going to go hide in my friends friends hayloft of their barn...I had mood swings from being depressed to being super-charged, and I guess my mom treated me real bad cuz I was not fitting in her picture of what a "perfect" child should be. It wasn't my fault, as it isn't yours. LIfe is still worth living, and when you get suicidal thoughts, look away, think of something else, the more you look away, the easier it will get, do not give such thoughts a home. This I learned from my mom, although she wasn't perfect, she is the bravest person I know, and she told me this is how she does it. Distract yourself, and look away, watch yourself, and know it is just something that will p and things will get better. All kinds of wonderful things can happen in your life, it is well worth living. You can create a sanctuary by imagining the perfect place you can live and have everything you want, I have designed mine and thats where I go to escape. I have spent thousands of hours designing mine! but it is my place of peace and serenity and where I go to renew myself and escape all the problems of life! I think my being depressed is what led me to where I am and who I am today, in my search for God and meaning in my life, and I thank God for everything, because I have something to learn from everything comes my way, He does not promise our life to be easy, but He is there to be with us through all things. Some of these things I say, even if you do not understand them now, may come back to you in times of need in the future. My grandmother taught me to do beadwork when I was little, I didn't understand a word she said, but later I knew how to do it, so I hope some of this will help you now or later, it is all I know to help you, I know the depression will come back sooner or later, but I will know it is just my body not functioning right, and it will p, and stop blaming it on everyone else! Which I have done a lot! lol another thing about depression is you write things and then they sound dumb, I tear up all the letters I write "Letters written, never meaning to send" like the song, even tore up 2 books I wrote! Kitten recovering from coccidia - experience? What to expect?

All of the really nasty cases of coccidia I've seen have been in kittens - they just have such an immature immune system. They tend to be on the Albon longer than the adults, and the get treated for 3 days past normal stool. Albon can be safely given for as long as 30 days. A probiotic like bene-bac will help the stool to return to normal, too. As long as you're treating it, and seeing that she doesn't dehydrate, etc. it won't affect her long term. The biggest issue with coccidia is the severe diarrhea, and the risk of dehydration. And it seems like you've got that under control!

I am totally intrigued with this area in the Bible/history. I have always understood that Angels were male. I am not sure if you could consider them as human as they are Angels. My very close friend had colon cancer about 5-6 years ago and is just fine. She does keep going for routine check ups. I usually stay up late, but increasingly over the last week, I've noticed my bouts of insomnia rise in strength and intensity. Yesterday I worked from 10AM to 10PM, and could not sleep until 2AM. Today, after a particularly distressful appointment with my lawyer, I decided to hike up a small mountain to take my mind off things. I'm out of shape, and what took a somewhat geriatric 50 year old man (I saw him arrive at the foot of the mountain from my moderate height--and watched him beat me to the top) only an hour to do, I barely accomplished in four hours. I nearly ped out half way up the small mountain, but luckly I was merely on the onset of dehydration when I made it back down. I thought I'd drink a lot of water and subsequently p out. I drank the water, but I'm still awake. My eye lids are burning hot. I know I am tired and should be able to fall asleep, but I can't. What is wrong with me?

Is it really possible for me to have a 'faulty' carbon monoxide alarm over and over again?

Here's the deal, my management company ( I live in an apartment in downtown Boston), installed a carbon monoxide alarm this past fall and since then it's randomly gone off 5 times - a month apart, each time. They claim that it's impossible for carbon monoxide to be there since the whole system isn't going off...but I mean, 5 times in 6months??? Should i keep my new sugar glider?

i have brought home a turtle, it kept snapping at me so i gave it away. then i brought home a kitten, parents blew up so i had to find another home for it. then i brought home a hamster (which i still have) and keep in mind all these pets i brought home without telling my parents....now i just got a sugar glider and my parents are very upset that i , once again, brought home another animal. but i did all the research and if i had to i would get rid of my hamster, because i can bond with my sugar glider, not my hamster. so i dont know if i should keep it or try to get a refund of $300.

This is one I make when I am in a hurry. Cut up a potato in smallish chunks, slice some celery and carrot. Chop an onion. Cook barely covered in salted water. When done mash slightly with a potato masher so you have some chunks and some puree. Add milk to get it to the consistency you want and adjust seasonings. Feel free to add any other vegs. you like as well. Very simple soup but tasty and quick to make.

Saw an infomercial. In effect what we see in others, what they say, how they react to us mirrors who we are also. When we can learn to love ourselves we also put love into the world with our consciousness which in turn creates a more beautiful world, it just takes enough to people to turn the tide. I suppose ultimately when Jesus said treat others as you would have them treat you was really about how when we love ourselves we can love others too. I use his lesson as a pointer to what I mean only as I am a non religious man.

I'm 17. My brother is 19 and he recently got caught by my parents smoking weed in our house. He went to University of Colorado Boulder for his freshmen year of college and he did very poorly with his grades. I already knew before my parents caught him that he was smoking weed. My parents found a bunch of weed and alcohol in his bedroom and my dad kicked him out of the house for the night and then they let him come home but then today my dad found another pipe in my brothers bedroom and he kicked him out again. My eyes hurt when I focus on something closely?

My eyes have hurt for about the past tree days, i thought it was just allergies so i took benedryl & other pain relievers but that didn't seem to do much.. The pain hurt so much last night (right eye hurt more than left) that i started crying. I removed all of my make up and took out my contacts, took a shower (helped for a while). i put new contacts in after i got out of the shower and they hurt a little again but the pain went away after a while. i went to bed an hour later and woke up this morning to more pain... when i woke up i could slightly open my eyes and my left eye hurt more than the right opposite of last night. i used some visine advanced relief but that didnt help. now its more like my eyes cant focus on objects that are close to me without me having to squint because of pain. i do have contacts on right now and i'm nearsighted. my eyes feel achy, tired and irritated.... it's really hard to explain. extra tip: my last eye appointment was roughly a year ago. and i do take out my contacts every night before i go to bed.

Fishing rod help!?!?!?!?

I'm guessing you are trying to learn how to b fish... First you need to find a fishing partner, because you have a lot to learn. My suggestion is to buy a medium to med-heavy rod, something around $40 -$50. Get some 12 - 14 pound test line (clear), colored line is for the birds. Buy yourself a cheap reel ($50 - $100). I would recommend an h2o express reel from academy sports store if there is one close by. They are cheap and stand up to a lot of abuse. Which is what a new fisherman will put it through. As for what lures and how to use them, this is where your fishing partner will come in. If you don't know anyone who fishes start watching alot of Roland martin outdoors and get some bmaster magazines. Howtob.com is a good website to get info from too. I would start off with some 3/8 oz. spinnerbaits (booyah, chartuese and white) and topwater lures (Sara spools, chug bugs.). Then get some plastic worms and some worm weights. You'll need some help with these if you haven't fished any. Good luck to you, and leave some out there for me.

Aquatic plants & bettas?

Good now that you know about bettas. most people just throw a betta in a bowl and not sure what to do. Larger sized bowl which is how many gallons? Yes a plant can live in a bowl if taken care properly. First off, you need lighting for that plant. Im pritty sure your bowl doesnt come with a light. Low light plants i suggest to you are some Java moss (Very easy), and java fern. Ofcourse you arent going to go crazy with plants in a bowl. I would choose the java moss since it is easier. Right. Depending on your bowl size, you are going to need 2 watts per gallon from your lighting. Meaning if you have a 1 gallon bowl, you only need a 2 watt bulb. If you have a 2 gallon bowl, you need 4 watt bulb. A lamp with a FLOURESCENT bulb should be sufficient. I would leave the light on for about 7-8 hours. You dont need a filter for plants but you need to keep up to date with water changes. I suggest you look into more about plants such as fertilizers etc. As for your other questions, When it comes time to clean the bettas bowl, leave some old water inside the bowl. This helps the bacteria stay alive. I would do a 33% water change in a bowl that isnt filtered every 4 days. Oh, make sure you dont get duckweed. You can if you want, but its like a weed, it will keep growing and growing and you dont want it to cover the entire surface of the bowl. If it does your betta can suffocate. Meaning you CAN have duckweed (easy plant) but it cant cover all the surface. I would leave 50% surface water and 50%. Good luck. Make sure you read up more about it searching up on Yahoo. I went sledding, and let's just say the sled wasn't to nice to my thumb. It landed right on it. Right away I got extreme pain and it swelled up. Today there is not a lot of bruising, still a lo of swelling, and in a hell of a lot of pain just trying to move it slightly. I am able to move it, but not a lot. What should I do? I have always had 768 Kbps speed for my internet. I noticed today on their website they offer a faster speed, 1024 Kbps for only 10.00 more a month. I am thinking this may be a better option for me. I just started to use baby wrap with my newborn (5 weeks old). I have problem putting her into cradling position as she tends to straighten up her legs and body whenever I put her in. You should always put your bird in a dark quiet room each night when it's night time. Keep a schedule for its sleep time. Birds usually need about 12 to 16 hrs. of sleep each night. If you don't have another room to move them too, just throw a blanket or cage cover over the birds each night when it gets dark and dim the lights in the room. Like turn off the overhead light and just use a lamp. He may still squawk for a few nights but soon, he will adjust to the darkness and his biological clock will correct itself. As to the fighting, as young as he is, I don't think you have a problem yet with him injuring your other birds. But, to be on the safe side observe his behavior closely and check the other birds in the cage for bites or injuries, and if he is not just protecting his territory, and instead is chasing any of the other birds just to attack them. Then yes, I suggest you move him to a different cage.
